ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certificate to be Extended until 2010
(March 5th 2007)
Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance has again found that the Pipeline Engineering Quality Management System complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000. They will therefore recommend re-certification for a further three years.
This will mean that our Quality Management System will be approved until February 2010. Original approval was granted in 1995 which reflects the Company's long term commitment to quality.
As part of the evaluation, a detailed audit was carried out on 26th and 27th February which looked at all areas of our Quality Management System. Our Quality Management System covers a wide scope and is applicable to the following business activities:
"Design, development and manufacture of pipeline equipment including pigs, pig detectors, pipeline end closures, isolation and testing products.
Design and manufacture of steel pressure vessels, steel fabricated products and structures.
Design, manufacture and associated testing of polyurethane products.
Provision of subcontract fabrication and machining services.
Design and manufacture of tooling for polyurethane products. Manufacture of foam products." Bryan Tate, our Quality Manager commented "Adopting quality in all areas of our business is given high priority and the systems are in place to ensure we achieve and maintain high standards throughout our business. This successful audit from LRQA is recognition of the work put in by all personnel to achieve this and also helps to support us as we continue to implement additional quality related activities and processes for the benefit of our workforce and customers."
