Hydroseal Valve Company, Inc. was founded in Kilgore, Texas in 1955 as a manufacturer of safety and pressure relief valves. Located in the heart of the East Texas, the company provides valves to many markets.

Recognizing a need for a reliable and cost effective pressure relief valve for the very demanding oil production industry, Hydroseal invented the "Ball and Seat" pressure relief valve, incorporating the innovative and dependable "self-seeking seat" design.

In 1962, Hydroseal received authorization from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers to use the ASME Section VIII (UV) Code symbol stamp in the manufacture of safety relief valves. Products manufactured to the ASME specification and capacity certified by The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors are the mainstay of the Hydroseal product line. Recognizing a market opportunity for product design and performance integrity combined with quick delivery, Hydroseal earned the reputation as the market leader in the oil field, and of no equal for quick delivery of product.

In the 1970's, Hydroseal's presence grew to oil field markets worldwide, which gave the company experience in very severe environments. Today, Hydroseal is respected for products designed to meet the extreme performance challenges demanded of pressure relief valves in environments of extreme temperature, corrosive and contaminated service fluids.

Hydroseal's success in the high capacity pressure relief valve market in the 1980's was customer driven: major oil producers who were also in the gas business were unsatisfied with the lengthy deliveries offered by the competitors, and recognized the quality of the Hydroseal line. Soon, Hydroseal was supplying products with very high relieving capacities, and next day shipping. The success of the new "flat disk" high capacity designs carried over to markets not usually associated with oil and gas production and transmission.
