Beaumont, TX -- January 5, 2003 -
Customer feedback on the recently-released Mallard Model 5646 pressure
reducing regulator suggests that Mallard's new design is a big hit with
engineers and maintenance personnel alike. Consistent with Mallard
philosophy, the regulator was designed to combine the advantages of (1)
interchangeability of repair and maintenance components with traditional
supplier's assemblies, with (2) significant maintenance and/or performance
design improvements over traditional models. The new Model 5646 is a
rugged low-pressure and high-pressure commercial and industrial pressure
reducing regulator, and is a clear demonstration of the company's
continued commitment to its oil and gas customers. The Model 5646 is available in 3/4", 1", and 2" body sizes with port diameters ranging from 1/8" to 1/2". It is currently offered with ductile iron body material and aluminum diaphragm housing, capable of inlet pressures up to 1000 psig and outlet pressures up to 200 psig. A future release is planned for an all-steel version for NACE applications and inlet pressures to 2000 psig / outlet pressures to 500 psig. About Mallard Control
