Beaumont, TX -- March 1, 2001 - Mallard Control Company today announced the release of a new line of armored level gauges and gauge valves, the latest in a string of recent releases by the company designed to enhance its position as a leading instrumentation supplier for the oil and gas industry. The product addition is a perfect, albeit non-traditional, complement for Mallard's level control products, providing visual level indication to verify controller calibration - Mallard is the first manufacturer to offer both level control and level gauge products. Consistent with the company's reputation for providing on-time delivery of high-grade equipment, these new products conform to industry requirements and are manufactured to the highest standards. These products from Mallard demonstrate the company's continued commitment to its oil and gas customers.

The new line of level gauges are available in medium pressure (Model 3520) and high pressure (Model 3540) versions. Gauge valves are offset-pattern valves, designed in rigid/rigid (Model 3500) or rigid/union (Model 3510) configurations, and are available with 1/2" or 3/4" gauge and process connections. An internal safety ball-check design prevents release of vessel contents in the event of a gauge failure. As with other Mallard products, the Model 3520/3540 and 3500/3510 products are manufactured and tested to meet or exceed all applicable industry standards and specifications.
